Propolis is a resinous substance that bees obtain from tree buds and certain plants, and they use it to coat the walls of the hive and keep it free of bacteria.
Due to its antiseptic properties, propolis is used in the treatment of skin with infections (such as in the case of acne) or to prevent their appearance when the barrier function is compromised, as in the case of burns.
